Forney Education Foundation

 Beginning in the fall of 2008, the Foundation launched the Innovative Grant Program for Forney ISD teachers, administrators and staff to recognize and support innovative instructional programs and initiatives which will positively impact the students of Forney ISD, to date the foundation has given over $1,165,000 to classroom teachers. 

FEF partners with the community to support students in need of new school supplies and backpacks. Starting in the Spring through Summer, FEF will collect donations to provide over 1,500 students with back-to-school supplies in partnership with community businesses, organizations and partners. FEF will ensure every students has what they need to succeed.

 Starting in 2022, FEF became a financial sponsor of the Forney ISD Summer STEAM Camps by providing scholarships to low, socioeconomic students and providing a weekly lunch to instructors 

 FEF hosts multiple events throughout the year including the Antlers and Tutus Fun Run, Annual Gala, Teacher of the Year Banquet and the Backpack Resource Fair. In 2022, FEF sponsored the first annual Forney ISD Blacklands Films Festival. 9 Films were shown by middle to high school students and awards were given in 6 categories.
